Why this matters now
The world is getting louder and faster.
Modern life has become survival mode for so many high-functioning people.
You're managing everything — the work, the relationships, the transitions, the pressure — and on the outside, you look like you're coping.
But inside, something is feeling off. You're exhausted. Disconnected from yourself.
Maybe you're navigating
Burnout
Menopause
Grief
Divorce
An identity shift or
Just a persistent sense that life has become something you're managing rather than living.
You're done with feeling this way.
The nervous system under modern pressure doesn't need more information.
It doesn't need another productivity hack or another wellness trend.
It needs something much simpler:
🖤 To feel safe enough to stop bracing.
🖤 To reconnect with what actually matters.
🖤 To trust itself again.

How this works (and why it's different)
Most approaches to burnout, overwhelm, and exhaustion focus on fixing the external problem by managing your time better, setting boundaries, saying no more often.
But that's not where the disconnection lives.
The disconnection lives in your nervous system.
When life gets hard, your body goes into protection mode.
It braces, numbs, disconnects and forces.
And when you're disconnected from your body, you can't hear what it's trying to tell you.
You override the signals.
You abandon yourself without even realising it.
I Got Me guides you
to recognise and
attend with compassion
what sends your nervous system into overdrive in the first place, so you can stay with yourself in your body instead of abandoning yourself when it matters most.

Then it does what no other book does: from that place of safety, it teaches you how to set your own codes. The internal alignment that lets you bring this into your life and how you live in the world, so that boundaries, time management, all of it flows and is not forced.
And you won't move through it alone.
In the audiobook, Vanessa's voice walks alongside you, present, grounded, guiding you through each body-based process with music, pauses, and space to feel what's there as you breathe, notice, and stay.
There's a simple, repeatable way to listen to what your body is telling you through exhaustion and bracing, and create safety in your nervous system — it starts right now.
What people are saying
I didn't understand why I wasn't happy when I seemed to have all the things I wanted in life. My heart was full of fear, emptiness and loneliness.
I've learned to be gentle with myself, to treat myself with love and compassion. As a result, I treat the people around me with love and compassion. I feel much happier and more relaxed.

I found that I had unresolved trauma, most of it tied around my relationships with my mother and my sister.
My relationship with my mother now is different. I can forgive her and treat her with love and kindness. I am no longer triggered by my sister and her behaviour. In the event I am, I can process it and let it go very quickly.
Vanessa is caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. She listens with an open heart. She lets us do the real work.

ABOUT ME:
I'm Vanessa.
I spent over 25 years in science and clinical trials before life slowly led me somewhere I didn't expect, into the work of supporting people through change, uncertainty, and the moments when life asks something new of them.
I also know what it's like to keep going long past the point your body was asking you to stop. I know this territory because I've had to find my own way through it too.
What I've learned is that clarity doesn't come from pushing harder or thinking more. It comes when the body feels safe.
I live in Torquay, Australia, where I help high-functioning people reconnect to themselves beneath the pressure, pace, and noise of modern life.
I Got Me is where that work begins.

"The edge is no longer knowing more. It's knowing what matters."
